Sea Kitties and Slumber Parties

My daughter’s birthday is in May and for a few years now, I try to make a drawing for her birthday cake and help her make her own invitations.  This year’s theme was “Sea Kittens”, inspired by the PETA campaign and online web game (http://www.peta.org/sea_kittens/).  My kid LOVES them, and has been busy drawing a bunch of fish in cute costumes, wigs and  even guitars.  She came up with her own for the invitation, so I “borrowed” her design for the cake.  She also needed a separate invite for a sleepover, so I quickly came up with this one inspired by her first sleep-over, when they didn’t get to sleep until after 5 AM.
